The "One Package for Foreigners Working in China" reform consolidates four separate procedures into one unified application:

• Work Permit
• Residence Permit
• Social Insurance Registration
• Professional Title Evaluation

Instead of dealing with multiple departments separately, you and your employer can now complete everything through a single online portal. In some cities like Shanghai, the combined processing time has been reduced to just 11 working days, with the national average now at 6 working days.

For foreign nationals from countries that are members of the Apostille Convention (Hague Convention), document authentication has become much simpler:

• Degree certificates and criminal record certificates only need an Apostille from your home country's competent authority

China classifies foreign workers into three categories (A, B, C). Higher-tier applicants enjoy greater material flexibility:
